Co-Op Games #1-Fireboy and Watergirl in the Forest Temple

This is a very creative co-op game starring two main characters that are about as different as can be. One is made of fire, the other made of water. One is male, the other is female.

The game revolves around the end goal, which is to get to the end doors. There is one door for each character. In order to get to the doors, you must avoid hazards, such as pools of fire or water, which kill the character of the opposing element. (e.g. fire pools kill WaterGirl and water pools kill FireBoy) As a result of this, there are areas which are only accessible by one of the two characters. On top of this, there is the green mud, which kills both of them.

Buttons and levers will also trigger mechanisms which can help you on your way to victory. Boxes can be pushed and used as extra height boosts. Walls can become platforms when they rotate. There is even a gigantic see-saw! :D

A side goal is to collect all of the diamonds. But, the diamonds are divided into red and blue diamonds, which can only be collected by one of the two players.

There is a scoring system based on the amount of gems obtained and the time taken to complete the level. The scores range from A (the best score) to F (the worst)

Some levels contain a large green gem. On such levels there are no regular diamonds. If you complete the level without grabbing the gem, you will get and immediate F.

Did I mention good co-op work is necessary as well? If one character dies, both must restart the level. Both characters must get to the end doors in order to finish the level. Thus, it is highly suggested that you and your companion (brother in my case) have similar levels of skill, or one person will be responsible for the majority of failures. (*cough* *cough* my brother *cough* *cough*)

I have tried playing through the game solo, but certain levels are tough to beat without an equally skilled companion, and I was also unable to get great scores on the majority of the levels due to the fact I can't handle playing both characters at once.

This was a great and fun game, and we highly enjoyed it. Five-stars for the creative idea and the unique gameplay.

Racing Games #1-Drift Rush 3D

I found this game and the graphics were what initially caught my eye.

It's a simple racing game, with simple controls, just arrow keys and spacebar.

The game gives you the option to choose between one of four car models and several car colors. Some of these models and colors must be unlocked by progressing in the game.

There are four game modes, with four challenges each. There is the potential to earn up to three stars on each challenge. Stars can then be used to purchase car models.

The game has great physics, and is a serious and fun game. The graphics can lag a bit on some computers, so be warned that this game may lag for you.

But all in all, it's a great game with great physics. Lag is ubiquitous when dealing with games with extremely realistic graphics.

Quiz Games #1-The Idiot Test

The Idiot Test is a quiz featuring questions that ultimately... determine whether you are an idiot or not.

As you can see, the first question is one that concerns some shapes:

The game has a certain sarcastic touch that adds a tone of humor to the game.

However, there are certain trick questions that can catch you if you're unsuspected, like a certain question involving a light blue square.

Overall, the game was enjoyable to play, and the sarcastic humor helps to get rid of any extra boredom you might have.
